Gyorgi Ligeti, 1923-2006

ligeti.jpgThe irreplaceable Gyorgi Ligeti -- who stretched our ears for decades with his limitless musical imagination -- passed away today at 83.  The sound of the world -- of the whole universe -- just got a lot less interesting.
